Lost Followers after Changing Site Address

I recently changed my site address and seemed to lost all followers. I got a few follows after that (found on my notifications) but didn’t reflect on the followers page. What happened? I need a fix.

I see you recently created a site and then changed the address to thepaperdrafts.wordpress.com one week ago. It looks like there weren’t any existing followers, which is why none are listed in My Sites > People at the moment. As visitors start discovering and following your site, they will be listed there.

It was Sep. 2017 when I created my site and there were 300+ followers before changing the site address recently. After that, I had 0 followers. Then there were some who started following it, which can be verified in my emails. But it seems that Followers is still 1, which is me.
Below is one recent follower.

Hi there,
It looks like the Reader has two different feeds for your site with different follower counts:

https://wordpress.com/read/blogs/135533718
This was most likely caused by your recent blog address change. We’ve reported the problem to our Reader team who can fix this, but they might not be able to get to it right away, so please be patient. We’ll let you know here once it is fixed.
