Lost header image – css problem?
-
I adjusted the css of the Misty theme – I can’t revert to the original; it won’t let me change presentation styles (they all seem to want to use the css stylesheet I uploaded!) – and I can’t get a header image to display!
I’d be happy to revert to the original Misty css and then tweak code line by line – but it won’t let me do that either!
Help?

Are you having this problem on a blog hosted here at wordpress.com or with the wordpress software from wordpress.org? If the later then you need to need to be in the support forum on http://wordpress.org/support for help.

You might want to post a link to the blog in question for those with more ccs knowledge than myself to be able to look at it and help.

I am no css expert, but it looks as though you have some javascript put into the page right after the header. On wordpress.com blogs that is not allowed. They are running different software that on wordpress.org and it gets stripped out:

OK – I’m even more confused now, because I didn’t add the javacript – I just did the css. That shouldn’t put any script on the main page!

I just tried your picture on a test blog of mine and it worked although the image was too long and it was cutoff on the right. I do not have the css upgrade for that blog and I am not sure how you are handling images if they overflow the space provided. I couldn’t see anything yet from looking at the two source codes side by side.
I tried the mistylook theme on my blog once it came out and had problems with it as well:
