Lost hundreds of followers by ENABLING Publicize !

  I had almost 1500 followers, decided to connect my blog to my FB/Twitter/Google+ accounts yesterday. Today I wake up and I have 1148 followers..? I disconnected all the social networks of Publicize and it remained at 1148, does anyone know what happened ?
