  I had a developer build my website on WordPress and I have no information to access this account to update my website. I am no longer in contact with the developer. I do have all the info and login for HostGator, which hosts my site.

  Is there anyway to gain access?

  Hi there!

  If your site is hosted by Hostgator, it is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org).

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
