Lost login info, want to delete site
-
Hi, this is going to be a pain in the ass, I think… I briefly wrote a blog as an evangelical college student that is not at all reflective of my current views, and is still posted with my full name on the website. I almost entirely forgot about it, and I would really like to delete it altogether. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember what email address I used to create this blog, and I’m afraid it might be my college email address, which I no longer have access to either (I graduated 6 years ago now.) What do I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have tagged your post so the staff can see it. Please wait patiently, someone will get back to you shortly.

Hey, I can absolutely understand why you’d want to remove that older content, and I’m here to help you through it.
Since you no longer have access to the email you used, the best next step is to try our Account Recovery process. It’s designed to help in exactly these situations:
- Fill out the recovery form here with as much detail as you can: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
- This guide explains what info helps us verify ownership: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership
If you’re unable to verify ownership, we won’t be able to give access due to security policies. However, we can still help in other ways:
- If your name or other personal info appears on the site, we can set the site to private so it’s no longer visible to search engines or the public.
- Just let me know if you’d like us to take that step or if you want help completing the recovery form.

Just setting the site to private would honestly be fine, if that’s an option. I’m very open about my spiritual and political development since my college years; I would just rather it wasn’t coming up in search engines.
