lost material on my blog post
-
I am not sure if I should restore my post or not restore. I am not sure which one to click on. If I click the wrong material I will lose all the material.
I can see the whole thing behind this message but the last time I had the post open there was just a little bit of it left.

Hi there,
Of which post on your site are you speaking?
In the editor, click Post Settings ->Status. You should see a link to access revisions there. Search for the revision containing your missing content and restore it.
Restoring a revision doesn’t delete old revisions, so if you select the wrong one you can always undo and restore a different version.

Hi Kokkieh,
Thank you for your reply to my dilemma with my blog, https://artisticstudents.wordpress.com/
The post with the problem is the second one from the top. It is called, 'Personal Project And Written Element, p. 147'.
I saw after my panic that it was still on the blog itself but on my site over this blog I get the message,
'A more recent revision of this site exists. I have to click one of the buttons, restore or don't restore. Which one do I click. If I click the wrong one, I imagine I may delete the post. Is there a way I can save this post? Can someone save it and email it to me. I tried to do this, but I can't save the pictures.
I hope that you can help me.
I tried to follow your instructions but I am not sure how to get into editor

Hi again Kokkieh,
I eventually bit the bullet and pressed 'Restore', and it all worked out.
Thank you for your help and support. It can be very stressful when things go wrong.
All the best,

That “more recent version” message can happen is autosave triggers at the exact same time you publish or update a post. It should not really make any difference whether you restore it or just ignore that message.
I’m sorry to hear this caused you stress, but also be assured we keep multiple revisions of your post so you’ll always be able to go back to the previous version if something goes wrong with an update :)

Thank you Kokkieh,
I really appreciate your sound advice. I did follow the instructions you gave me and did learn some more about WordPress in the meantime.
