Lost mobile and two step authentication for my wordpress account

  Hello
  I’ve tried all advice on WordPress.com and the support forums to reset and recover my account, however I’m unable to provide any of the proof of ownership details.

  I have 2 factor authentication enabled, however due to change of country my mobile number and the authentication codes are no longer available so I’m unable to authenticate and login. I know my account password and email address, as well as WordPress.com username, but am unable to proceed past the 2 factor verification code step.

  I have opened a new account to post on the forum for help.

  I have a self hosted blog and my wordpress username is fareehaaa

  Hello,

  If you are not able to generate the code, you will have to use backup codes that you generated while setting up two step authentication.

  Thanks for your response.
  But I have lost the backup codes as well. I have no clue how to recover my account without the mobile number or the back up codes though I remember the username, password and the email ID related to it.

  I do not think you can recover the account without those backup codes. Please try contacting the support team, just in case.
