Lost most of my pics on my blog

I was scrolling through my past posts and noticed that I have only 3 pics out of 30 or so between all of my posts. I haven’t been on here in a week and a half and I haven’t noticed any signs of a hacker. They now have this little square and when clicked it says 404 — File not found. How can I fix this?? I have not deleted the photos from here, but I no longer have them on my computer, does this mean they are gone for good?? I hope not but I do need some help on getting them back. Thanks!!

I looked, they are not :( not sure why not though, I didn’t delete them, until now I haven’t even been in there except when I have uploaded pics. Does this mean they are gone for good??

If they are not in your Media Library then when a browswer calls for them to be displayed the server can’t provide them. :(

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I can’t explain how they disappeared form your Media Library, so I have flagged this thread for Staff to check into and let you know exactly what happened to them.

Several files were deleted by your fireychefgurl account twenty days ago.
Does this sound familiar to you?
If not, please start by changing your WordPress.com password and email password (and this can be used to reset your WordPress.com password), then let me know.

It does not sound familiar to me, I have already changed my passwords. Is there a way to get the files back?

ok, thank you, I do not have any back ups myself, I have only a couple of the photos but not all.

I was able to recover these for you, though they may take a few minutes to re-appear.

@macmanx- you are my hero!!!! Thank you so very much. They are all back. You are so amazing and I thank you for your prompt help i resolving this issue. I am not sure what happened except for the fact that a lot of my stuff was hacked within the last couple of weeks. Didn’t think this was one of them. Once again thank you.
