Lost my "about" section

  I lost my “about” section which was just to the right of Home on my front page. How do I restore that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To locate a Page on your dashboard got to > Pages > All Pages and hover over the title of the Page and click “edit”.

  It says “not found”. when I created the blog today, I was adding info about myself, tried to edit it and lost the section “about” which was next to the “home” section in the header.
  I”m so sorry but doing what you suggested in “Pages” did not help. It’s just blank with titles.
  I’m just looking to get the “about” prompt back in the header.

  OK…I got it back.
  However, there is an “edit” prompt below my information that I can’t remove. I certainly don’t want viewers editing.

  You blog is private and trying to assist amounts to working in the dark. It’s frustrating an I’m I’m not into stress. I have tagged this thread for Staff as they can view your blog and we Volunteers cannot. Please be patient while waiting for Staff help.

  The “Edit” link is only visible to Administrators and Editors on your site who are logged in – it’s not visible to the public, so no need to worry. :-)

  Just let us know if you need anything else.

  Hi Kathryn,

  One quick question (I know it’s a simple one, but I’m fairly new to this)…I’d like to move from the free WordPress version to my own domain, (and, WordPress host?) but obviously keep my blog site.
  What’s the easiest way to purchase and go about this?

  Hi there – you would have two options, depending what you need.

  1) You could keep your site at WordPress.com and add your own custom domain. Here’s how to register and add a new domain to your WordPress.com site

  2) If you need the features of a self-hosted WordPress.org site, you can move your site to your own hosting. You can learn more here about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. You can also read more about the options for moving to a self-hosted site.
