Lost my account? – can’t login can’t retrieve password

  Hi wordpress helpers – wordpress.com is a fantastic service thanks for it.

  I have a problem tonight as I tryed to login to my account and my blog (jimstr.wordpress.com) and it seems that I have misplaced my password because I usually use firefox to remember my login/passwd informations (I do know that it is not the best way to go but I did it anyway).

  Worst, when I click ‘lost my password’ it ask me for either my email or my login. So first I put in my login/username but I don’t receive anything in my email. Then I try using my email to recover/reset password but it says that this email is not in the database or something the like. I have no idea what to do next.

  I am currently posting this help request off an old username I had here (rv007) but I do not use it anymore.

  Don’t know if it helps but under my username (jimstr) I had another blog lokal47.wordpress.com

  Only staff will be able to get you in, but that said I’ve gone to the blog just now and in my “tabs” using IE7, I’ve getting a string of odd characters in the tab. Should whatever the issue be end up not being related to password, maybe this bit can help them too.

  Oh my! I still tryed many diff passwords and I finally got in.. God sorry for the hassle. I will be sure I got the correct email address set up in there to be sure next time this happen I can help myself! Sorry. All good.

  Just for the record I see why I didn’t receive a link to reset my password at first.

  When I first registered at wordpress it was for lokal47.wordpress.com with jimstr as username but I created a gmail email for it ie. lokal47[at]gmail

  Then I created the second blog being jimstr.wordpress.com and changed the primary email for it to jbarbier978[gmail].

  SO when I was requesting to reset my password, the email was sent to the lokal47 email – which I totally forgot I created in the first place.
