Lost my Custom Domain http://shoppingescapades.com

    I bought a custom domain from WordPress.com in December 2012. Transferred it to Hostgator in 2013 and kept renewing it until now. In January 2019, I lost my domain. It is now showing that the domain is transferred to GoDaddy. I also lost my WordPress installation and Dashboard. Can I recover my data?

    It seems that you had used the open source WordPress software to build your site and your site was hosted on Hostgator, so we never had any of your site contents on our servers. That means we will not be able to recover your data. You will have to contact Hostgator for the data recovery.

    Please note that you should never allow a domain to expire unless you are fully done with it and never want to use it again or use the content again.
