Lost my followers in wp.com -> .org migration

  I just recently migrated bloodsweatsawdust from wp.com to hostgator. I used the follower migration tool successfully to migrate to the new site. After altering the DNS to point towards the self-hosted site, I noticed I was unable to connect twitter and facebook via Jetpack. I think this was because Jetpack was originally connected via a temporary IP based URL. Anyways, this caused me to lose my followers. I tried remigrating my followers but noticed that the old site no longer had any users to migrate.

  The old site is currently bloodsweatsawdust.wordpress.com and the new site is bloodsweatsawdust.com. Please, help!

  I forgot to add that I deactivated / reactivated the Jetpack plugin and this is when I believe I lost my followers.
