Lost my homepage
-
I’m building a page for work, and I’m fairly new to WordPress. I am hosting it through hostgator, but the site is not live. I have purchased a theme from themeforest.net, but they offer no help.
Somehow in the process of building the site, I lost my homepage. My domain(dot)com pulls up a 404, but all the other pages pull up fine. In the pages menu, I have no pages listed for just the domain(dot)com. They all have extended addresses. I don’t know when this happened. How do I add this page back? Where can I find it? What did I do to screw this up?
When I go into the settings, I can’t find anything to pull it up. I know how to adjust the template to set the domain(dot)com as the homepage, but I can’t find it in the listings.

What I wrote is really confusing. Hopefully this will help.
I just updated my permalinks so that the home page is domain(dot)com/home. How do I get it so that my homepage is domain(dot)com?
