Lost my post

  I’m still getting used to the new layout. I went to create a new post. Selected “Text” but didn’t see the dropdown to assign the post to a particular blog. Started typing and saving the draft. When I hit “Preview” it just resaved it and didn’t show me a preview. At some point I refreshed the page, hoping that my post was saved in draft form, but now it is gone. I can’t find it in any of the drafts on any of my blogs.

  In the editor seelect the “screen options” at the top right and make sure that the check-box labelled “Revisions” is checked.

  The problem is that the post is completely gone. I don’t have anything to open in the editor.

  Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
  Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
  The auto-save works there.

  Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working.

  If you cannot locate the post in drafts or private post and you cannot locate a post revision and you cannot locate it in Trash and restore it then you have reached a dead end. It’s gone forever.

  So it is gone for good then.

  Why is there even an option to create a post that doesn’t have auto-save or that doesn’t function properly?

  The developers are aware of this glitch and it will be fixed in the next upgrade. I’m sorry this happened to you. I create posts on my own dashboard only. I enter a title and click “save draft” I then click “save draft” every paragraph I create.
