lost my work

i wrote a blog post draft, (about two hours of work) and i closed the app thinking it automatically saved my work. Now I can’t find the draft? Is there any way to access the draft again?

I don’t remember exactly. Maybe “Do we have an enemy?” I’ve only written five blogs and four are published.

I definitely don’t see any trace of new drafts being saved on the site, and no recent deletions either.
Which app were you using?

Hm, that definitely should still be saved in the app, as it stores drafts locally.
It does sync drafts to the site, but it stores them itself too.
Which version of the iOS app are you running?
Also, how did you close the app? Did you simply move on to another app or the home screen, or did you force-close it? https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330

Yeah that really should have worked. :(
Was the app open when you put the iPad to sleep, or did you exit back to the home screen first?

My only theory at this point is maybe the app crashed, that could have resulted in data loss if the draft wasn’t specifically saved (which would have synced it to the site safely).
Exiting to the home screen before sleeping the iPad would have prevented the app from crashing though, as iOS simply caches the background state.
I’m sorry this happened, but it sounds like there’s no way to recover what was there, especially if it was a crash.
To prevent that in the future, make sure you save the draft, as that will store a copy on the site itself.
