Lost my work

  I was wondering If you could help me retrieve my work back from WordPress. after spending a really… really long time writing my learning journal, saving and updating along the way. It seems that my work in the category ‘portfolio & website has disappeared. After noticing, I tried to ‘restore revisions’ in the history tab. But that only gave 1/5th of my work back. I don’t know where it’s gone or how I can get it back but I’d love some guidance.

  I was ready to begin working yesterday and noticed all my work from one category was gone. I’m so confused, I kept saving and updating. This then led me to ‘restore revisions’ but when I clicked on a section to restore, not everything came back. So my thoughts were that this was an error/glitch and so I refreshed the page. By doing so, I had no option to click on history / restore revisions. HELP!!!

  This is my third time asking and I really need help. I’ve lost all my work in one particular category despite saving and updating the whole way. I’m not sure if I reached my revision max count or something, but I tried to restore revisions and it’s now all gone !! The category is portfolio & website and there was around 3000 words

  Hi there Luke, please don’t open multiple threads on the same topic. It doesn’t get you an answer any faster and only makes it more difficult to track progress on your issue. I’ve gone ahead and closed your other topics. In case it is relevant, you do have a staff reply about the image issue, but I understand this is something different.

  I’ve also tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you. Things tend to be slower on the weekend.

  oh thank you so much !!! Of course, Sorry about that, I’ve just got deadlines I need to hit.
  In my revisions, there is a revision with 4660 words, however there is only the red minus button and no green plus button. I’m scared to press ‘load’ in case I lose all the work (as there is no plus button, I assumed that something could go wrong)

  The latest revision in that post includes all the new additions you made, so you can safely restore it.

  However, if you’re worried it won’t be properly restored, you can manually select and copy the correct revision text and save it it a text file on your computer.
