Lost old account, and want that domain.

    Hi all!

    I want to purchase the domain name per year deal that WordPress offers VERY badly. I want the domain name http://www.dwarsement.com however, there is one major problem with this, or maybe two.

    1. Several years ago, when I first made a WordPress, I was just experimenting, and I made my username dwarsement. That made my URL dwarsement.wordpress.com. Unfortunately, I lost that account’s password, and at some point in time, deleted the e-mail used to create it. I went back to the e-mail to try to re-create it, however, it won’t let me (Google won’t let you re-create an e-mail). So I created a new wordpress, and have been using it since with other usernames other than dwarsement since then. So 1, I would REALLY like that account to either be deleted, or to get access to it again, however, I don’t know the password and/or have access to the recovery e-mail. (And no, I don’t have a hosting service program or anything for it. I always use WordPress straight from the site.)

    2. When I click create the domain name so that I can pay for a domain name, it automatically assumes my username is the name I want to use to use for my domain. Currently, my username is girlsshouldbeclassy, so my blog is girlsshouldbeclassy.wordpress.com. So when I see the link on my Blog Admin page, it says, “Make this site http://www.girlsshouldbeclassy.com for only blah blah blah per year!” It assumes that I want to use girlsshouldbeclassy.com.

    There has to be a way around this. Any tips?

    You can recover your old account by trying to log into your old dashboard, clicking forgot password? and then on Need more Help?

    This will take you to the account recovery form, where you can try to get gain access. You will need to provide a name of a Draft Page/Post, a Transaction ID (if you bought a domain, you should have one on your Paypal account), or an API Key. If Staff deem the information you provide to be sufficient, they will help you get your account back.

    As for two, you can create a new domain for your site by going to the Store -> Domains, and then you can enter whatever domain you like.
