Lost pages/ posts & email notifications

    Hi,

    Recently, I’ve tried to log-in back to WordPress (www.iwra.org/wp-admin) but I couldn’t. I colleague on mine deleted my old account and created a new one. However, I lost all pages, posts, files and other things linked to this profile. I’ve recover most of them but some pages/ posts in the website are not available or lacking content, for example the events calendar. Can you please tell me how to recover all pages/ posts/ documents (PDFs, images), etc. still missing?

    Moreover, I can’t received notifications from WordPress to my email. This is also happening whenever I test or someone sends comments using the Discussion Board. Do you know why I can’t receive emails or notifications in my email from WordPress? I’ve checked the spam folder as well as other categories and my filters but everything is working fine.

    Your site is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it is hosted by InMotion Hosting. Therefore, you need to contact them regarding your issues.

    We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with a self-hosted WordPress site you can ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    Hi again,

    Thank you very much for your response.

    I understand the clarifications provided, however, there seems to be a problem with WordPress notifications not reaching any of the administrators (me and another colleague) and we cannot change emails, passwords or even be informed of the Discussion Board activities/ comments.

    Please help us check if there’s a problem from WordPress’ side. We need to fix this asap.

  • Hi @iwraep, since you’re managing your own installation, there’s nothing on our servers related to your site.

    You can check with your host though. They will likely be able to tell you whether the server is sending the email or help you troubleshoot the DNS settings if needed. You can also look for help here:

    If you search for “not getting emails” you’ll find several suggestions, or you can post in those forums if none of the suggestions work. Just remember these forums are for sites hosted at WordPress.com, vs self-managed installations at other providers.
