Dear WordPress support,

I’m the owner of this blog “Le petit chercheur illustré” http://yetaspblog.wordpress.com (created on Sat May 10 18:09:05 2008) under the user account jackdurden (I can prove it with old emails I received at the creation and after)

Well, I forgot my password *but* unfortunately when I try to recover it, the automatic wordpress email is sent to a defunct email address (*@epfl.ch).

Therefore, in order to solve this issue and contact you through this support forum, I had to create this fake wordpress account (fakejdurden). Sorry about that.

Can you help me to recover my access to my account “jackdurden” and to my blog?

Staff might be able to help – if you have the original email that will help – you will need to prove ownership of the account – if you have your API key that will be good – don’t post it here but staff normally sends an email or gives you an address to send the key to – I have flagged this for staff help

Hello, can I be flagged for staff support also.
I have the same problem. My email address [Email removed by staff] was shut down after I changed internet providers and I cannot remember my password.

Hi,

I’m having the exact same problem. The blog is jlucifora.wordpress.com and I cannot remember the password and the email associated with this account is defunct.

I’d like to upgrade to the yearly domain registration, but cannot login.

Do you have access to the mie[…] (at) rogers.com email address on the account, or your API key or transaction ID from your domain purchase?

Hi!

The email address would have been (email visible only to moderators and staff) but is no longer active.

The API key … I don’t think I have access to that (actually, not really sure what it is!)

But I have the credit card that would be associated with the account? Would that help?

The credit card won’t help, since we don’t store that info with us.

Do you have the transaction ID from your purchase receipt?

If not, you can contact PayPal (our payment gateway), with the date and amount of the transaction, and your credit card number, and they’ll be able to look up the transaction ID for you.

STAFF SUPPORT REQUEST – I originally created the account I’m using to post this, user name: ianrayhawk. I still have the password and email account for this account. However, when I changed the spelling of my name to “IanRayHawke”, I opened a second account with user name: ianrayhawke. I have lost the password for this account and whatever email address I used is no longer in use by me, so I haven’t been able to retrieve that password. (I’ve requested the password to be sent to my email several times but I’ve looked in all my current email boxes and it’s not there — so it must have gone to an old email I now longer have access to.) I would simply change the user name on this account to: ianrayhawke — BUT I CAN’T — BECAUSE THAT USER NAME IS STILL IN USE! (on my other account!) Please tell me how I can retrieve my password for user name: ianrayhawke !!!

Dear staff,

I have this same problem. I know the username of my old blog, but I forgot the password and the e-mail address I used for this blog does not exist anymore.

This one is my new accout. I’d be very glad with deleting the old wordpress blog or a least merge it with my new one.
