Lost password bug–cannot log in!

P.S. I hope everyone does work through the checklist I provided as sometimes we discover everyone with an issue is using the same browser version, or some other common factor is revealed that assists Staff to address the issue and resolve it quickly.

(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state. -
I am having the same problem. When I try to reset the password on my main account (inspiredbyhistory), the reset form tells me that I have entered an “invalid key” once I have an approved password. I’m not sure what is going on, but it is very frustrating. How can I reset my password successfully? I have tried logging in on Chrome, Firefox, and IE and on three different computers (Windows 7 desktop, Windows 7 laptop, and a Chromebook) with no success.
The blog address in question is inspiredbyhistory.wordpress.com

Hi I’m having the exact same problem and had to make another account to be able to write on here.
I’ve done everything on the check list and it’s still not working.
I’m using google chrome 35 on my laptop – it won’t work on my Iphone either.
I went to log in and it told me my password was wrong so I went on to reset the password but once done it states “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid”my url is http://croatiamovementblog.wordpress.com/

Same here again.
I’ve done all the points in the checklist and I still cant login.
I’m using Google Chrome 35 – on a laptop.
And my login on the Android App (Samsung Galaxy S3) doesnt work either
When I’m trying to log in it states: “ERROR: Invalid email or username. Lost your password?
“
I didnt. And no other Admin changed it. Even when I try to reset my pw it says “Unable to reset password
I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information.“
Then when I go to Account Recovery and tip in all the Information it says “We could not find an account that matches your login. Please check your spelling. Note that we can only provide support for WordPress.com accounts – do not use this page for your own WordPress.org blog.

It seems like as if my account wouldnt actually exist or that WP cant connect with it properly. Plus my webpage (http://www.irishrovermainz.de) is looking pretty buggy all over sudden. On every page there is a unusual upload option which shouldnt supposed to be there of course. And I cant go to my usual log in page (/wp-admin) cause all I see is the same upload option. Its very frustrating and I hope that the problem will get fixed very soon!

Ditto what others have said: I’m having this issue on Google Chrome 35 (although it also happens on Firefox (29.0.1), both on my Dell Latitude laptop. It also happes on Safari on my iPad. It’s not unique to any given browser or device.

I am having the same problem. I logged out and tried to log back in and it kept saying my password was wrong. I went to reset it and I got the e-mail and everything. It said the password could be saved, but then I clicked reset and it said there is an invalid key. I had to create a completely different wordpress account just to type this question in here. So the blog that I am trying to log back into is ashecomfortsus.wordpress.com
I have tried to log in on two different computers, my phone and my ipade. No luck on all devices so I don’t think it is the device or browser.
I just opened this blog yesterday. Please help me log back in! -

Huh. Out of curiosity I tried the original password again when I got home (trying to show husband the problem to see if he had any ideas) and – voila! I’m in!
No idea what made the difference (pretty sure it’s the same version of Chrome although I can’t check until I’m back at work tomorrow), but I’ve logged out and back in again a couple of times just to make sure and it seems fine.
Hope everyone else finds their problems resolved soon! :/ -
We are having issues with our password reset tool at the moment. Our developers are looking into it now and we hope it is resolved very soon.
As we have updates, we will post in this thread.

Okay. I just had the same thing happen! I logged in with the original password and it worked! I’m not sure what happened. I’m just glad that I am finally back in. Thanks smudgecopy!
