Lost Password & old "dead" email-adress stored

  • Unknown's avatar

Unfortunately, I forgot the password for my website (klaus-schuetz.de) and the stored email address is that of my former partner, who worked with me years ago. Unfortunately, I am not Inet-affine as my former business partner and would finally like to delete the website for good, because I am still contacted, although the content is outdated and no longer existing.
Since I no longer have any contact with my former partner (“migu”) since then (and I do not want to!), I ask you for help how to proceed, so that I can finally take the website off the net.
Since I am flooded with contact requests, the urgency for final deletion is accordingly.
Thank you in advance with best regards

    Klaus Schütz

    Hi Klaus,

You’ve reached support for the WordPress sites we host here at WordPress.com The domain, klaus-schuetz.de is a self-hosted WordPress site being hosted at hosteurope.de.

Because the site is not hosted here we do not have the ability to restore access. I would recommend contacting hosteurope.de to see if they have backups then go through the account recovery steps at:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

For more on the difference between WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress sites (sometimes called WordPress.org) see:
