Lost post after publishing from mobile app

  Hello! I recently finished a post on my laptop on my blog & published it. I was browsing a bit later from the app on my phone & noticed it there was an option to publish it as a post rather than a draft, but when I did, I lost the half of the post I had previously completed on the laptop. Is there any way to recover the previously published post? I worked on it for several hours & have tried to recreate it with no success.

  Before you do anything else, go to https://wordpress.com/posts with the same browser on the laptop, open the post in question, and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover that version. If a restore button does not appear, then the work is no longer saved in the browsers’ local storage.

  One more think you can try would be to try to find content you’re looking for in the revisions for the post to see if there’s a chance a revision for that work was saved:

  I tried that & numerous other workarounds & they unfortunately didn’t work. I just ended up re-writing it again as best as I could. Thanks anyway! :)

  Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!

  I know it doesn’t help with this case, but there is some work being done to try to prevent data loss like what you’re describing as we speak. So hopefully you won’t run into a problem like this again.
