lost post, please help!

HELP, please…
I used a Qumana blog editor for the first time tonight and the evil little machine replaced my last post with the one I tried to upload…can’t find it.
Dumb dumb me, I know, for trusting an unknown technology. But the post it sent packing happened to be a eulogy of a friend who died last week!!I know there’s a ‘deleted’ thread. But my paitence has left the blogosphere. My Mother is moving in 2 days, I’m supposed to be — no, I MUST now go pack — I could use some help, here. folks in these parts seem real friendly…

I don’t know what a Qumana blog editor is. I use my Windows Notepad. But did you click ‘Publish’ on your WordPress blog? Because sometimes it doesn’t show right away on your main page but it is there and can be seen in your dashboard if you click ‘Manage’. But if you lost it on your Qumana blog editor, then that doesn’t have anything to do with WordPress. Because WordPress has a backup of everything. But take a deep breathe and you’ll figure this all out and it’s not the end of the world.

Thanks, nosysnoop — breathe. Right. This is where I come to NOT be stressed out! You say wordpress backs everything up? Ahh. I can’t imagine it could’ve been lost in the editor…I never touched that post anywhere but here.

So I guess I’ll fiddle with accessing WP’s backup in the morning…is there any time-pressure on the backup? -
Try registering to your own site feed and see if they have it. I registered at Bloglines just to see what a feed looks like. But maybe they have it too if they picked up on it. It’s worth a shot. But hopefully by morning, someone who knows more about this will help you.

yeah, I checked all the aggregators I can think of. funny, when I edit a post in some way, to make it better, my old, blemished one will be in the feeds for a week. This one I was On in like an hour — and all of the sudden shaZAM! They’re like, Fresh Feeds R Us!!
Maybe someone just turned ’em all on to speed…

Yeah, well I think I told you before you give good advice. not the end of the world, etc…for sure: the eulogized dude don’t give a hoot -
One time I wanted to save all my picture codes but last time I did that in my Notepad, the codes then were all broken. So someone told me to write html or something as the file name. I saved it but it all vanished. An entire days work too.
