Lost posts from March 2015 to April 2017
-
Hello,
I have the free version of WordPress and since a few weeks, I cannot see anymore the posts I wrote from March 2015 to April 2017. Is it a bog or something WordPress changed lately? When I do a research on Google with keywords, my posts appear on the blog. Also, if I change the date for a new date in an article, for instance, I can see my post appearing in my landpage. Why can’t I see all my posts at the first time? What do you think? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Will you please place an Archives widget https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/ in your sidebar and click the dropdown display in it when you configure it?
-
Thank you Timethief. I did that already, when I scroll into the widget in the landpage, I can see the choices of my archives, per month. But when I scroll right into the landpage itself, all my articles are hidden from March 2015 to April 2017. How can it be possible?

Hi @boisvertlyne, your archives widget is hidden from the home page. Did you intend to display it?

Hello supernovia and timethief,
Sorry for the delay to respond. My archives widget is not hidden anymore, and it works well (I can see my posts from March 2015 to April 2017), but when we scroll down directly from my homepage until my last post in the page “Londres en sept jours” dated April 7, it jumps to the post dated March 2015! How can I change that? Thank you in advance. -
@boisvertlyne I did some digging; it seems the problem is with your theme. It’s an older theme that is not mobile friendly, and is not getting a lot of attention right now.
If you’ll let me know what you love about this theme, I’ll see if I can recommend a replacement.

Yes, supernovia, thank you. In fact, what I like is that I can have different pictures on the header that I can insert, and that the header has bright colors. I love colors which brings dynamism to the blog. Also, I like a size of font that is pretty big, because I hate to read when characters are too small. Finally, tabs are important because I own a company and I want my customers find what they want fast. Important: I want a free version, if possible. Thank you for your recommandations.

@boisvertlyne many of our themes allow a menu at the top.
Several have featured image headers:
https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/featured-image-headerMost don’t have a rainbow background image, but many do allow you to set your own background image if you’d like.

@supernovia, thank you. Are you sure that if I choose another template my problem will be solved? Is it easy to change my previous theme for another theme without loosing anything?
-
@boisvertlyne your content will still all be there. You may need to do some customizations though (like selecting a primary menu, etc.)
I recommend heading to https://wordpress.com/themes/bongocreations.wordpress.com – if you like a theme, click its three dots and choose to view the demo. Click around in the demo. If you like it, you can “try and customize” without committing until you “save and activate”.
Just note some themes require a bit of setup to look like the demo, but if you really love a theme and can’t set it up with the setup steps, let us know and we’ll help how we can.
