Lost PW & access to registered email

  Dear forum,

  I have a problem. I have an account, “weltwanderer”, that I actively used several years ago. Now, I’d like to access this blog again and noticed that not only do I seem to have lost my password (tried several of my old and new passwords, none worked), but also don’t I have access to the registered email address anymore… which precludes me from accessing any kind of activation link, etc. as a proof of ownership.

  How to proceed from here?

  To restore access to an account, go to https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  I’ve been there and it only says that I can hide my blog from being found via Google, etc.
  I’d prefer regaining control over my account. Isn’t there any other way?

  You always have to proof you are the owner one way or another.

  i can supply the registered email adress which includes my full name, but this option isnt available.

  If you do not have any of the security information and do not have access to the registered email address, I’m afraid that there is no way to gain access to the WordPress.com user account.

  I was just able to repair my old PC from 2010 and restore access to my old email account. I saw that I did get emails from comments below my posts, but when I order a new password or something like that, the mails don’t arrive in my inbox. Any fix for that?

  You are commenting on this forum thread as the WordPress.com username, patrickspath, and we’re sending notifications to the email address associated with this account, which you can see if you go to https://wordpress.com/me/account

  The weltwanderer account you want to access is associated with a completely different email address, and password reset requests for that account are being sent to that email address.

  Yes, I know, the username PatricksPath is associated with nase****@****ail.com, and the username Weltwanderer is associated with patr******@****eln.de

  I’m aware. And as I told you: I worked my ass off yesterday, it took me 7 hours to recover my old laptop where the access data from the latter emailadress were stored and I now have access, but when I ask for my password, I don’t get any emails.

  100% understand the effort put in and we appreciate you working to find a solution.

  However, it isn’t so much that you need to access your old emails, it is that you need to regain access to the email address so that you can receive NEW emails sent there.

  We cannot successfully send a password reset email to an email address that you do not have access to or that is not a valid address.
