Lost Revisions
-
Hello, I spent all morning making revisions to my blog post and when I was finished and wanted to publish it, when I clicked on Publish it didn’t work. I noticed autosave was on so I closed and when I re-opened it, a message said that the web version of my blog was different than the one on the site did I want to open the latest version (I don’t remember the exact wording) so I clicked on the message and I lost all of the revisions that I had made. Is there any way to get them back? I have looked at the revision history and the new revisions are not there.

Hey @rbhockaday, sorry to hear that! Could you tell us which post or page is affected, and a bit of what we should be looking for in the correct revision?
It almost sounds like the changes you were making in your browser window didn’t get to the server for some reason, even though autosave was on. Possibly a connection blip. In a case like that, there’s a chance your browser has the changes, but if not you may be out of luck.
If there’s ever a doubt whether your content was saved, I would recommend going to the three dots in upper right > code edit > select all > copy, and then paste into a text file so you’ve got a backup. Do that before leaving the page, just in case.
