Lost Site

A web developer built a site for me using WordPress. He gave me log in details that I often used to make changes to the site. I believe my site was hosted with Crazy Domains and that I let my hosting expire. When I use the same login details for WordPress that I have always used, it now says I have no sites. Is there any way to recover the WordPress site if I let my hosting expire?

We can’t help as that site was never running on the wordpress.com platform. If you nor your hosting made a proper backup, the content of that site is lost forever.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand your response. The site was hosted by Crazy Domains, but I logged into it through WordPress; does that not mean it was running on the wordpress.com platform?

If a site is hosted by Crazy Domains that site was running at Crazy Domains not on the wordpress.com platform.

Is there a chance it was once on wordpress.com before being moved to Crazy Domains? If so, could there be an old version that we could access?

That sounds unlikely. If that was the case then wouldn’t you have already had a WordPress.com account rather than creating one just before posting into this forum?

What was the full URL of the site in question?
