  Do sites get deleted after so long with out activity? Is it possible to find a blog I wrote 6 years ago? I thought I knew the name but I’ve searched every possible way I can think of and can’t find the site.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com sites are never deleted due to inactivity, no.

  But without knowing the exact URL of the site, I’m afraid there’s no way for us to help you find it either. The URL/address is the only unique identifier of the site that can be used to find it in our system.

  Searching for the site title or specific content in Google can also sometimes help find the site, but if you haven’t updated it in 6 years, chances are you won’t find it via a Google search either, as they do remove sites from their search indexes due to inactivity.

  Thank you, knowing it hasn’t been deleted gives me hope that I still might find it someday. I’ll try Google. Thanks again :)
