Hello there, You are posting in public forums hosted by WordPressdotcom. As mentioned in the contact form please do not share financial or personal information. I’ve removed the transaction information which would allow someone to take over your account.

Your site URL notesonmypractice.wordpress.com redirects to lindastylesartpotter.com for me and that site is hosted by SiteGround. Have you contacted them for assistance with your site?

  • Hi there,

The account you’re posting as here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

The site you mentioned above belongs to the account, lindagibson1954, and that account only bought a Site Redirect upgrade today.

The site you’re redirecting to, lindastylesartpotter.com, is not hosted by us and we have no control over it. Please contact SiteGround support as @justjennifer suggested above for help getting that site online.

I am in a terrible muddle, it seems that neither wordpress or site ground accept responsibility and I get redirected back and forth. The reason I paid for this service was to have experts do it for me…Help!

As has been explained above you need to log out of this particular WordPress.com account and if you wish to reach your WordPress.com site notesonmypractice.wordpress.com then log back in to WordPress.com with the username lindagibson1954 and whatever password you set for your WordPress.com site.
You have another site at Siteground called lindastylesartpotter.com. If you navigate to the front page of that and scroll down there is a log in button for that site. No doubt you have different login credentials for that site.

    Hi there,

Let’s take a step backward and see if I can help you get this sorted. There are two general ways people use WordPress software. One is here at WordPress.com where we manage the servers and keep the core WordPress software updated and secured. The second is over through downloading the software from WordPress.org then installing it onto a host.

You’ll find more on these differences here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

It sounds like you may have both types of WordPress sites (along with two WordPress.com accounts).

When you get a moment review the above document and let us know a bit more about what you are hoping to accomplish and what version of WordPress you’d like to use.

As others have mentioned, you can sign out (from WordPress.com/me) then log in as lindagibson1954 to manage the current redirect which is pointing your WordPress.com site to SiteGround. If you would like to host your site with us the redirect can be removed and the SiteGround account may be canceled.
