Lost Social Media Followers

Dear WordPress.com and WordPress.com blogger,
I’m reaching out because I lost 267 social media followers that were not detailed. I recently performed maintenance on my blog and it included trying to reconnect my Facebook profile with this blog. That’s when I think I lost the followers. It’s something an independent blogger cannot afford. I need to grow my audience and email list so I can develop my content with audience input, and make announcements. Has anyone experienced this and recovered?

Hi there,
Social media followers on your site is not something that’s stored on our end. The numbers that show for different social media services are the numbers we receive directly from those services when you connect a social media account to your site.
At the moment you only have a Twitter and a LinkedIn account connected to your site. We don’t display follower counts for LinkedIn, and the Twitter account connected to your site doesn’t have any followers.
You also used to have a Facebook page connected to your site, but you disconnected that 4 days ago. I’m guessing your missing followers are connected to that Facebook page, so you’ll need to reconnect that to have those shown in your stats again.
