Lost the pictures from Latest Posts

  It used to be when you clicked on Latest posts all the posts came up with a banner featured picture and the first few lines of the posting. Now it just come up on the side bar with the titles. How do I get my vibrant Latest Posts page back?

  Go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and click. When you open it choose one column instead of two and let us know if that rectifies the display for you or not.

  Forget that above. I thought you were referring to dashboard display but you aren’t. You are referring to this static page which will never update with new content. http://tenthstreetdinner.wordpress.com/latest-posts/

  The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

  To do that create two pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  Among the most common misconceptions is that bloggers fail to understand is
  (1) there is only one page we can post to in any blog and
  (2) the static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ they create do not automatically update.

  Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags too will update automatically update with new posts.
  
  By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.

  We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.
