Hello,
Here is the support page for passwords/account recovery.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/If that is not helpful, this is the account recovery form you will need. https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Thanks Liz. The problem here is that I don’t have any proof of ownership. What else can I do in this situation? I am taking over the maintenance of the website.

The first thing we do when answering a support thread is confirm the URL in question and where the site is hosted.http://www.legacylinkpartners.com is NOT hosted by wordpress.COM and was not purchased through wordpress.COM. There is no domain mapping for it.
Our support docs do NOT apply to sites that are not hosted by wordpress.COM and our account recovery will not work for this site.

You received an incorrect response above.legacylinkpartners.com is hosted by Unified Layer, not by wordpress.COM
WHOIS: Click Here
IP Address: 66.147.244.135
Name Servers:
ns1.bluehost.com
ns2.bluehost.comWe provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and that one is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

You’re welcome but do note that that I hate tailgating new Volunteers. I multitask from my business and have distractions to cope with already. I’m visually challenged on top of that so not only a waste of my time because when I do not tailgate I can answer twice as many questions, it also destorys my experience of volunteering here. Please, please, please confirm every URL and verify where the site is hosted before you even begin to think about posting into a thread, okay?
