Lost username and correct email address for a series of blogs I had about 4 months ago.

What are the URLs starting with http:/;/ for the blogs in question?
In order to help you get access to your blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:
1. an email from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was
2. the wordpress.com API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe. Please do not post the API key here.
3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number send it to the email address I posted above.This thread is flagged for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for their response.

Help! I have a similar issue. I seem to have two WordPress accounts linked to the one email address. I think it has to do with the initial WordPress.com policy back in 2007 that allowed users to do this. I now want to delete my old blog and although it recognises that the blog is mine on my email address, it won’t let me get into its dashboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may also be that I had a different email address and password at the time. However this email would be closed now, so when I do the ‘forgot password’ steps, it sends an email that doesn’t reach me in my current inbox. Is there a way to change the email address of an old account with only the username?

We cannot delete the blog without confirmation of ownership. In order to confirm ownership, we will need to either receive an email from the address on the account or the account’s API key.

Thanks macmanx. I seem to have really worked myself into a predicament here. I think what has happened is my hollym2311 account is allocated to an email address I had with a previous employer four years ago and would be closed now. I guess the API key would have been in that mailbox too. Is there any other way around this? At the moment that site is up with personal contact info on that I’d really like to delete. It shows my current email address assigned to my current wordpress account, would that be enough proof/confirmation of ownership?

If you can confirm what the email address was along with the month and year the blog was registered, I can make it private, but cannot grant access to it.

My first problem is I have a tendency when I do a new blog is to get multiple blogs on my home oage withe the same title. One example is the blog “mojoheddin” i have about 5 of them with the same title. I do have 2 different url’s for the one title. yousheikedme.word…….. the other is mymojoheddin.w…….. don’t know what I did wrong. Johm

For some reason the username & password I created no longer works and as the email is wrong I can’t fix/re-activate it!
