Lost website?!

    My domain name has expired (not purchased through WordPress and I’m going to change it) but when I log in to edit anything none of my pages are showing and I can’t seem to do anything. There is no option under settings or upgrade to change the domain.

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi, looks like that domain is in redemption. So, you need to contact Namecheap, your domain registrar, and ask them to help you recover it.

    If you’re interested in moving your domain and sites here on WordPress.com, you can do so after the domain is recovered.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I’ve purchased a new domain name and I’ve notified the hosting company who have updated their end.

    I still can’t add the new domain to the WordPress site though – when I go to “upgrade” there is no domain option so I’m a bit stuck!

    Any ideas?!

    To clarify, you wish to continue to host your site with Namecheap directly, or set up a site with us instead?

    If so, you can set up a new site here and add your domain URL during the setup process: https://wordpress.com/start/

    Please note that it is not possible to connect a custom address to our free sites so to add your custom domain you will need to upgrade your site. All of our plans include the custom site address option, but if cost is an issue you can choose our Personal plan, which is comparable to the hosting costs you would have with your previous provider, but with the advantage of our in-house support for any questions you have with your site.
