lost website

  I have just gone to update some stuff on my website and it has disappeared. I only just noticed I had some emails about renewal, I thought it was set up as automatic renewal. Is there anyway of retrieving my website with its contents?

  What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the wordpress.COM hosted site you refer to please?

  And, exactly which wordpress.COM username account registered that site?

  You seem to be talking about a domain that may have expired.
  Domain Expiration https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

  We need details please.
  1. What is the domain URL?
  2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
  3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
  4. When was the upgrade purchased?
  5. When did the expiration take place?

  I had a mail to verify my email as site was being put on hold. I’ve done that but maybe too late. I haven’t checked the emails from this address for months as its only used for setting up the website and no other traffic expected from it.

  Hi there,

  The only site in your account is https://buildingwithearth.wordpress.com/ That site contains 1 post and 8 pages. You should be able to access it if you click on My Sites, or via the WP-Admin dashboard here:

  https://buildingwithearth.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  The domain, buildingwithearth.com, expired in March and was completely removed from our system in June. That domain has already been released and doesn’t appear to be currently registered, so you should be able to register it as a new domain at My Site ->Domains.

  Register a New Domain

  It looks like your credit card we had on file might have expired, as our logs show we tried to renew the domain on 23 February this year, but the renewal failed.

  Ok. Thats a shame. Do you know if the wordpress page and its architecture can be moved across to the domain if I reclaim it?

  Yes, you can just add the domain to the site again, exactly as you had done the first time. The link I gave above explains how to do it. If the domain has been released you should be able to register it directly from My Site ->Domains.
