Lost website

  • Unknown's avatar

I tried to move my WordPress Site from where I was creating it (SnowGlen.com) to where it really needs to be (BeBloomin.com)

In the process I seem to have lost everything I had done. I have created a backup file for both the wordpress itself and the theme, but it won’t upload. There is an issue and it says to contact support.

I have posts, slides, images and content that needed to be transferred over, and I can find none of it and cannot retrieve it no matter what I try.
    Many thanks

You have reached support for sites hosted on WordPress.com. It looks like both of your sites are hosted elsewhere, so we will not be able to resolve this issue for you, as WordPress.com staff have no access to your sites or your files. You may wish to contact support at your hosting providers.

Since your sites are hosted elsewhere, you can also post on the WordPress.org support forums for more assistance: http://wordpress.org/support/

    snowglen.com is hosted by 1&1
    Name Servers:
    ns28.1and1.com
    ns27.1and1.com

    bebloomin.com is hosted by 1&1
    Name Servers:
    ns-us.1and1-dns.de
    ns-us.1and1-dns.us
    ns-us.1and1-dns.com
    ns-us.1and1-dns.org

We cannot help with either one. This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
