lost work

  When I saved the draft, most of the text I had written disappeared. I checked the available revisions but the missing text was not there.
  An hours work, gone.

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry to hear that! Which draft were you working on? Were you working on a computer or a tablet/mobile device within the WordPress app?

  Usually in cases like this there is something in the revisions unless there has been no connection to the internet or the draft was made on the mobile app which doesn’t have an auto-save feature.

  As I see it, all the work that was done after a block of (quoted) ” ” text was lost, but this happened after I walked away from the PC to have dinner.
  I didn’t save the post as a draft before I walked away, when I got back and after working on it for about half an hour I then saved the draft and …Viola! everything after the block quote disappeared, for good.

  I’ve written that post off as lost, in the future I will be more suspicious of trusting my work to the web unless I’m keeping my eye on it.
