Lots of blog help please!

Can you upgrade from wordpress.com to wordpress.org? If so, how? And what will be the upgraded differences?

Ideally I want to make my wordpress have a very professional look. The homepage has the ‘blog’ type entries, with dates, etc. However is it possible to have this same style of page, as opposed to just additional one entry pages (which is what I currently have) so I can categorise things correctly and more efficiently? If there’s no way to do this via wordpress.com, can I upgrade to wordpress.org to do this?

    Thanks!

Transferring from WP.com to WP.org is not an upgrade; it’s essentially building a new website. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I don’t know what your second paragraph means. Can you show me an example?

So if I turned to wordpress.org, would I have to input all the info I currently have on my wordpress.com account into the .org one?

Basically, you see the homepage I have on my blog (krystalscanlon.wordpress.com) it includes and clearly shows that there are different entries for each topic that can be clicked on. However if you are on my blog and you click on the About Me, or Internships page, it’s just a single page – no option to write different entries, just one big entry that I have to keep editing/re-opening if I want to add more info. Is there a way to add further pages with the same style of “homepage” entries, as as my homepage? Does that make sense? Sorry if it’s not totally clear!

    “Posts on pages”

I suggest you read the Support documents on Pages and Posts as well.
