Lots of wordpress.com referrers?

  I am getting a spike in hits on my website and the majority are coming from wordpress.com…not a specific site on wordpress, but it just lists wordpress.com as the referrer? Is this spam or something else? When I click on the link, it just sends me to the main wordpress.com page.

  Thank you Matt. I am having the same experience as vrgnamgnta. I have noticed this in the past several days. Any projected time for the fix? Thank you also Timethief. Have a pleasant and rewarding evening. Craig
