Love the Tweet button, how ’bout a couple more?
-
First, thanks for the ‘Tweet’ button. For your next act, how ’bout a ‘Facebook’ button? And while you’re at it, a ‘Delicious’ button. I want my readers to be able to send/save posts to these three places, and presently have to hardcode links in my posts. Alternatively, there’s a plug-in WordPress.com doesn’t allow (javascript issue?) that allows a viewer to save a post to every social-bookmarking site in the universe; that would be my first choice, if the issues preventing its use now can be resolved…

I liked the idea of a Facebook button, as it would let the readers share it with their friends. – People who are NOT on my list of Facebook friends.
As for the others, I have no idea. I enabled Tweet because it’s the readers who are doing the tweets. I don’t have to have Twitter, so I’m fine.

With http://getsociallive.com/ you can create your own buttons/ text links for each individual post. You can create links for Facebook, twitter and a couple of other things quickly. It’s all html code so it will work easily on a wordpress.com site.

I also vote for the getsociallive.com links they are very good and easy to use. Just doing some cut and pasting and your set .

no matter how many people recommend the “get social live” buttons, they will never be as good as a legit share on facebook button. The get social live buttons have a tweet button on them, and if that was truly as good then wordpress wouldn’t have bothered making on themselves. The new tweet button is cleaner and fully integrates between both sites. Getting a facebook share and/or like button that is as legit as the new tweet button would be amazing.

You don’t understand how software companies work: they add tweet buttons not because their version works better (it doesn’t) but because it allows them more control.
Legitimacy? Legitimacy on FB and Twitter doesn’t come from WordPress; it comes from your stuff on Twitter and FB. As a Getsociallive user for months, I can say it’s been a key to my social media success.

I wasn’t happy with GetSocial’s Twitter and Facebook buttons, so I kept on looking and found options that I was much happier with!!! Read my article to get your own Facebook “Like” and Twitter “Retweet” Buttons:
