    Hallo,

    ich nutze für meinen Blog das Theme “Lovecraft”. Die Länge der Auszüge (Excerpt) ist bei diesem Theme wohl auf 55 Wörter eingestellt. Da dies für meine Zwecke zu lang ist habe ich begonnen, in den einzelnen Beiträgen manuelle Auszüge zu schreiben, was mir auch lieber ist. Nun gibt es aber hier jedoch das Problem, dass in diesem Fall der “WEITERLESEN”- Botton unterhalb der Beiträge nicht mehr angezeigt wird.

    Was muss ich tun um dieses Problem zu lösen?

    Where exactly are you adding your excerpts now?
    Your site is hosted on GoDaddy, not on WordPress.com so we may not be able to help with this.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

    Hi,
    I add my statements in the WordPress dashboard in the entry or processing of the post.

    In my opinion it is a problem of the theme code and not a question of hosting.

    … I found this code. It will probably have something to do with the renewal of the “Continue reading” button. Or?

    Thanks, I’ve confirmed a few interesting issues here:

    – Excerpt doesn’t show “continue” option

    – Manual “read more” is overriden.

    I’ll file reports on those two issues.

    Guten Abend.

    Keine Hilfe? Niemand eine Idee? Vielleicht vereinfache ich meine Frage etwas.

    Mein Theme “Lovecraft” ersetzt bei den automatischen Auszügen (die ersten 50 Worte des Beitragstextes) mit Hilfe des obigen Codes “[…]” durch einen Link “Lesen Sie weiter”.

    Ich möchte gern das gleiche Verhalten, wenn ich das Feld “Auszug” im Editor des Beitrages manuell, das heißt, auch mit deutlich weniger Inhalt fülle. Der Link “Lesen Sie weiter” sollte unter dem vollständigen manuell erstellten Auszug generiert werden.
