Lovecraft query – customisability?
-
Hi, I’ve just started a blog and am using the Lovecraft theme. I really like the theme but have two questions:
1. Is there any way of stopping the featured photo for the most recent blog post clashing with the header photo? (Other than just not having a featured photo in the post of course).
2. Is there any way of making headings in the side bar in lower case or sentence case – they seem to only be available in upper case which makes them they’re hard to read in my chosen font.
I’m guessing the solution to these queries might be to pick another theme, but just in case I can keep my lovely theme and solve these issues…any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks. H

Hi,
Congratulations on the new blog!
Here are some CSS edits that can help you achieve what you are expecting;
1. Is there any way of stopping the featured photo for the most recent blog post clashing with the header photo? (Other than just not having a featured photo in the post of course).
.content-area { margin: 0px -26.3% 0 0; }2. Is there any way of making headings in the sidebar in lower case or sentence case – they seem to only be available in upper case which makes them they’re hard to read in my chosen font.
.widget-title { text-transform: none; }To know how to add custom CSS check here;

Thanks very much for replying so quickly.
I should have said – sorry – I’m on free wordpress, so I can’t add custom CSS (but if I ever upgrade…)
Thanks again. H
