Lovecraft theme – can I get rid of the useless blank space?

I’m frustrated by the default large white space that appears between the line of red text (that contains the date, etc.) and the actual blog post content text. It just looks awkward – but I can’t figure out how to reduce it / get rid of it. Suggestions appreciated!

This is the way the theme is designed to display the post text. To change it for this theme, you would need to upgrade to the premium plan. Then we could use custom css changes to reduce the size you’ve mentioned.

An easier option would be to try out some different themes. Take a look via https://wordpress.com/themes/
