Lovecraft Theme not showing sidebar widget

    Hello,

I am completely new to the ´blog´world and I don´t have any knowledge about coding, etc.

I have just started this blog and activated the Theme Lovecraft. I have seen in the description it says there is a sidebar widget, however I cannot find it in the ´Widget´area of the Theme. I have read there is a way to deactivate this widget, but, indeed what I want is to be able to activate it. It says that ´this page does not show Sidebar Widget´.

Could anyone let me know how to activate this widget?

    Thanks!

  • Open WordPress.com Customizer https://wordpress.com/customize and choose Widgets > Sidebar (available on the left)

You will be able to add new widgets of your choice here, or remove/edit existing widgets.

Does it clarify things for you? Feel free to get back if you have questions.

  • The Customizer only lets you set up widgets when you’re actually previewing a page that displays that specific widget area. If you see the message “this page does not show Sidebar Widget” in the Customizer, try clicking on a menu item like About Us in your Customizer’s preview pane to get to a page that does display the Sidebar widget. At that point, you should see the option to set up the Sidebar widget area appear.

Let me know how it goes.
