  quick question

  Is there a way to close the <!–more> tag
  so that writing can continue underneath?

  ie
  Topic
  blah blah blah

  “<!–more>” (hidden text)
  blah blah
  end

  NEW TOPIC (visible text)
  blah blah…

  No, there is no way to do hidden text that way on WordPress.com. You can do page jumps, but the text in the middle is still visible.
