<p> attributes disappearing
-
I’m running a blog on wordpress.com. Everytime i update or write a new post, the attribute in <p> would go missing. It’s the same whether i add it in visual editor or manually type it out in html editor. Whenever i hit the update button, something like
<p style=”text-align:left;”>blah blah</p>
will become
<p>blah blah</p>This only started happening today as i was editing a previously published post. All my old posts still have their <p> attributes, as long as i dont touch them.
Help!

Well, all your posts are already <p style=”text-align:left;”> by default.
Try logging out…restart browser…log in and see what happens.

Ok I think that was a bad example. It will still strip the attributes for <p style=”text-align:right;”> or <p style=”text-align:center;”>

Yeah, we all seem to be having the same basic problem: Formatting is somehow being deleted when you save, publish, or preview a post.
I hope the WordPress Overloads are following this. It sounds like a systemic problem.

The problem with attributes getting stripped should be fixed now. You can use the Post Revisions box on the Edit Post tab to recover an earlier version of your post with formatting intact.
