MAC User / Image Upload Problems

Still I cannot up load images.
Got new flash installed as advised and its not fixed it on either of my two machines. On OS 10.4.9 and the other earlier. Each has different problems and stalls at different points.
Any other Mac users got any bright ideas… or is this just a matter of patience untill all the bugs are ironed out ?

Hello.
How are you trying to upload images – directly into wordpress, or by linking to another location, ie a n online gallery such as smugmug, flickr etc.

I am having the same problem using Firefox 2.0.0.14 on Mac OS 10.4.11. Flash is up-to-date and on. Ditto Java.
When I upload img from my desktop, I get only part of the upload box — it cuts off at “Or by URL.” Tried scrolling down but that didn’t work. Tried dragging the upload box but that didn’t work.
The upload from desktop is successful, but then I can’t follow through to link it into my post.
Whatcha think?

The just did a fix of some sort, force reload the write page and try again. It’s still not perfect, but it works.

Thanks for your dedication. If there was a “fix” it made things worse for me.
I just did a post and it was painful to put images where they should be. Or to just get them into the post. It worked, sort of, but not well. I just published and will edit it when things get fixed later.
The thing is, I’d been able to do it “easily” a few days ago. Just a few minutes ago, it was iffy—I think that not all the pictures are there now. Image uploading and placement changed again before my most recent post. I’ll email support tomorrow, but I have to work most of the day so…

Thanks and I know what you mean. Things have been really sketchy the last few days. I suspect staff is tinkering in the background and some of their tinkering is having unintended consequences. Bad for all of us on this side.On images in the wrong places, if they are inserted in and around text, all I can suggest is to highlight and drag them to the location you want.

I am glad if you are right about people working/tinkering in the background. Things will improve. ? The unintended consequences are not so great for a blogger’s ego. But we can hope that “staff” will figure it out soon. And I’m not so stressed/angry after a bit of time now; afterall, my words are there, live, online… and what I’m writing about won’t save the world. -
Developers are continually working on WordPress.com in the background. On an average day there might be half a dozen bug fixes or minor improvements deployed. There have been many fixes for uploader issues already.

So I guess I’m not the only one experiencing similar probs and difficulty. Phew for a while there I thought it was my laptop acting up hehehe. Will wait for further developments but hope u guys dont take that long to rectify the issue yeah! Thx again.

Problems with the uploader box not fitting on the screen have already been fixed. Please clear your browser cache if you’re still seeing that problem.
