  I am trying to figure out how to change the body text on my blog to black and I would also like to remove the footer. these seem like simple modifcations, but I cannot get the css code I enter to change anything. I am using the madhat theme

  There are several issues here – the most pressing is that your hosting account appears to be suspended, so your site is not viewable currently.

  Your blog is also a WordPress.org site hosted on SingleHop. These support forums are limited to WordPress.com sites, as there are some major differences in how problems are addressed. Your question will be better served in either the WordPress.org support forums, or support forums specific to the Madhat theme.
