Magazine appearance – summary of latest posts
-
Hi – I have made a couple of attempts to do this very simple change to my blog appearance but obviously not looking in the right place. Can someone advise? I know it is a very straightforward task…
I would like my home page to have a summary of my latest post, then underneath have quick links and short summaries to earlier posts – similar to my old blog http://desertdittybox.blogspot.com
Man thanks in advance for any help.
Sheena
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the reply.
The theme I currently use is Sundance and I chose it as the screen grab on the demo had this magazine layout I was looking for, but it just goes to blog roll automatically. i just can’t seem to find out how to undo it.

Then check out the Themes forum for Sundance-related posts. There should be a tag for it. You won’t be the first one not to know how this works https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/sundance

Many thanks for your help – I’ll look at it now. glad I may not be the only numpty at this!

Ok no joy. Had a look though all posts that looked vaguely relevant.
I have just about given up now – I just want to set the blog to show the first paragraph of each post, then a “read more” hyperlink to the rest of the post – is it a widget setting? -
No, the More button is on your basic toolbar on the Write Post page. It’s the one that looks like a dotted line. Put your cursor where you want the break, click the More button, you’re done.

Many thanks – finally found it! do I need to add it in to every post now? no worries if so – just glad you have guided me – it has been driving me nuts!
