Hi guys, I have a major problem!!!!! I’ve just realised that my domain magnificentrevolution.org that I register with wordpress.com has expired. I seem to have been sent one email at the beginning of October that said that my payment had been declined but I seem to have missed anything else.
Is there any way of renewing the domain subscription so that I can keep my website/email etc as losing it would cause a massive problem (all my work is run through this domain).
Please let me know as soon as possible what the options are and as always many thanks

Meanwhile, please know that,
If your domain has expired, you still have a chance to renew it. An expired domain falls into a grace period for about 10 days to two weeks. During this short window, the domain can be renewed at the regular price.
After the grace period ends, your domain enters the redemption period, the length of which can vary. This means the domain name can still be renewed, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost. (This is standard practice for domain registrars.)
The other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that it becomes available for registration again but there will be a risk of someone else purchasing the domain before you as it will be available publicly.
It’s important to note that during the redemption phase, domains can be included in expired-domain auctions, where another party can bid on your domain name. If the domain is claimed by someone else in an auction, you will not be able to renew. If you made a payment in attempt to reclaim the domain out of redemption and were unsuccessful, you will get a refund.

Are you logged in with the username account that registered the domain? If not, please log in with that account and then post in this thread. By the looks of it, your domain is either in the redemption period or pending delete by the registrar.
In either case, if it is still possible for Staff to recover the domain for you the registrar imposes an additional US$80 recovery fee which you will need to agree to before they can contact the registrar. Please confirm your agreement. I’ve gone ahead and flagged this thread for Staff attention.

Hi Adam –
It looks like magnificentrevolution.org is in redemption. Let me know if you want to proceed with the redemption process. To do that our domain partner charges an $80 fee that I need to verify that you’ll agree to pay first. This fee is in addition to the normal domain registration fee of $26.
As soon as I hear back from you regarding the redemption fee I’ll send a note to our domain partner. At the same time I’ll send a payment link your way via email. From there, it typically takes us 2-3 days to hear back about the domain status.
